Since tomorrow is Veteran's Day as well as Rhonda's birthday, I decided to do something patriotic and ordered myself a book. It is a biography of Horace Capron, a distant relative and a rather interesting person. The book is written by one of my cousins, Harold Russell. Our family has frequently served in the military with a number involved in the Second World War, with my father in the Marine Corps, his brother Wes in the Army Air Corps and the youngest brother Mer a corpsman in the U.S. Navy. I bought the book because I love to read and to also remember the sacrifices made by veterans, young and old.
