A McCain-Clinton ticket?
Re "Obama closes in on victory," May 21: After reading this analysis, I am appalled that the Democratic presidential nomination is all but sewn up by Sen. Barack Obama.
In him we have a perfect display of narcissism, a lack of accomplishments and someone who cannot seem to win the key states needed to secure an election. Obama could not possibly be hired to run any Fortune 500 corporation, yet almost half of those voting thus far would hand him the country to govern.
I am convinced he would be an utter disaster, perhaps more of one than President Carter (yes, I voted for him, to my regret). I therefore propose a solution: I beg Sen. John McCain to make Sen. Hillary Clinton his running mate. It would be a unity ticket that at least would be made up of serous adults.
I doubt if they would get along famously, but I do believe they would have the interests of their country in mind. Sure, conservatives would be angry, but they are already angry. McCain would be elected, and then face a rather interesting decision in 2012. That would be fun. More fun than the prospect of President Obama.

Interesting, Very Interesting. Here in Greece the news is making it sound like Hilary would like Obama to be assassinated.
Great article. It is frightening to know he is even a candidate.CJ
