I have heard about this and it really does sound as if it ought to replace fax machines. You get a phone number from Efax and begin using your computer to fax. Try Efax And let me know if it works.
Tim, we got a new fax machine at work, a Brother one, I think. Now our faxes go directly to email and no more waste of paper or ink on junk faxes and you can just print the pages you want of the ones you want to keep. And you can easliy forward them to someone else.
You can block numbers, etc, but it is so easy to just click delete, so why bother with all that. I highly recommend it. Of course you can set it to act like a regular fax, but the ink cartridges were expensive and they didn't last long.
i use 101fax...haven't had any problems with it and i find it the best among the online fax providers i've signed up for. the monthly plans are really cheap, plus they provide pay-per-use faxing too! great a deal, huh.
My company uses 101Fax for online faxing. The fax broadcasting works for our advantage. Imagine at just $4+ a month, you get the most out of an online fax...

I'm at work and our fax is a Sharp UX-B800SE, not a Brother.
