We use bark for landscaping purpose out here in California. It looks good and it keeps the weeds in check. The last time we did it ourselves, right before Rhonda's parents were coming for a visit. It was a very bad time, 107 degrees. We nearly died and vowed not to do that again. This year we called on Applied Landscape Materials of Rocklin. They showed up, did a great job. A bark spreader with a semi-truck is the way to go.
