Half Moon Bay Wedding

We just got back from the wedding of our friends Birgit and Brian in Half Moon Bay, California. If you don't know the story, Birgit Koopmann, from Viernheim, Germany, daughter of our good friends Dietrich and Gerlinde, was visiting us in New Mexico ten years ago. She and Eric drove from Alabama to Albuquerque. We took her to visit all over New Mexico and she even went to the Grand Canyon with Celine. After that she announced she wanted to go to California. We had no more time off and did not want her to go alone, so we called Bruce Capron, my Dad's cousin. He agreed to meet her with his wife Barbara at the airport and show her California. We forgot he had a step-son named Brian. Brian dropped by to meet this guest and the rest is history. After ten years of dating and moving back and forth between two countries, they have married. It was a beautiful setting and a lovely wedding with a great reception afterwards at Mezza Luna. Eric and Leslie, Andrew and Owen were there, alone with lots of my relatives.
