Home Ownership Is Expensive

I am beginning to understand why some folks move from a house to a smaller one or a condo. Getting things in shape around here has been expensive. First it was the tree trimmers, $600. They were followed by the sprinkler repair guy, $350. The sprinkler repair guy exits and the pool cleaners show up to blast the scale build up on the pool walls, for $396. And the new door cost $750, with installation $500 more. I fixed the leak in the pool filter yesterday, but parts cost me $50 dollars and I had to buy a larger wrench to put the parts on, for $36. There seems to be nothing else looming, but Rhonda did say the refrigerator was making funny sounds.....

It's so nice to be married to a handy man. Joey and Mike trimmed Kara's trees and they paid someone to come and make mulch out of them. It cost $70 to have them do that and it took no time at all. I will have to remind Kara how much money they saved her trimming the trees themselves.

If Mike can't fix something, Ryan usually can

Kara's new refrigerator was delivered today, but she has a stomach bug and was too sick to care.
