Here is the cover photo from a Life Magazine in 1944 that I found in some of my Dad's files, of Sgt. Donald L. Wolfe, landing in Italy. He was later killed during the D-Day landing in France. He was a hero to my father, who was himself a hero. The Wolfe family had a ranch on the Colorado and Wyoming border. I have been there as a child and still remember it as being remote, but interesting. I think my Dad spent quite a bit of time there.
