My Trip

Well, it was generally flawless on my latest travel adventure to Greece. I drove to Newark Airport and flew out of there on L'Avion, a business class only airline. It was perfect, though late leaving due to a thunderstorm. Food was excellent as was the service. I then arrived in Paris, changed air ports, and soon took off on Cyprus Airways to Thessaloniki where Arthur met me. We drove to Kalampaka and soon got to see Nikolaos, Mara and his father and mother. We also hiked up to Meteora and toured some of the monasteries, but not all as I was wearing shorts. Great hike and Mara should be a tour guide. Tourists are tired and get lost, so charge 20 Euros and guide them up. And here is a photo of Nikolaos checking out the Vespa, which was great fun to ride, and yes, I did wear a helmet and no I did not drink and drive. The food was great, everyone was very genial and the ouzo should not be watered down. After a nice visit, but brief, Arthur took me back to Thessaloniki and I retraced my route. All flights were on time and perfect. Security was tight, though I am not sure what I think of folks from the Qatar flight being allowed to wear a burqa and go through security check points. Ok, I am sure. It is foolish.

Glad you had a good visit and finally got to see Nik.

I wouldn't like traveling with people in burqa's either!
