So, the cat has been waking us up wanting her breakfast, and she is quite loud about it. Our solution was to buy the above machine. It allows you to set the amount and the time to automatically release food. It works well, but the upper part containing the cat food is a clear plastic so you can see if you need to add food. The problem is that the cat can see the food also. She spent all day yesterday trying to break into it. At least it gives her something to do.

Tim and Rhonda,I do not remember if you have a fish bowl,if not get a big one and put a lot of fish in it,so the cat can get busy and... if the cat eats one, no worries!
