My Dad's Watch

So, I have a Bulova watch that belonged to my Dad, a nice silver and gold one that probably cost in the $300 to $400 range when new. It worked well and I assumed, correctly, that it just needed a new battery. I took it to a Jeweler who opened it up. He came over and showed me the inside and said, "I have no idea how or why this watch is working. It is missing pieces and parts, may have parts from another watch, there are tool marks and what looks like dents from a hammer." So, I guess it must have stopped working and he fixed it. Rhonda said she was amazed it did not have Duct tape in there. Way to go Dad, the watch still works.

Daddy truly believed that a little ingenuity and duct tape could fix anything.... I have the antique family Bible that has duct tape on the binding. Fixed by good ole' Dad.
