We get quite a bit of rain every year in the winter and spring. Then it quits for most of the summer and fall. But all of that rain means green grass everywhere that will dry up and be a fire hazard. The solution is for the city to hire a herd of goats (to get the high stuff) and sheep (to eat the grass). The herder get his herd fed so it is a win for all. Here are some photos of them at work. Yes, goats can climb trees too.
