Given that the Democrats seem to be benefiting from our current angst and situation, they will no doubt drive us into a depression. They simply cannot help themselves, so I thought I would read this book and find out what really happened. Our notions are simplistic about the cause and the cure and this book confirms it. It is worth reading; I have begun reading it and this is a first rate book by a serious scholar that can write well.
